"Riftbound's LA Regional Wraps This Weekend -- Vendetta's Signature Cards Haven't Stopped Climbing"
Riftbound's Los Angeles Regional Qualifier runs today through Sunday at the LA Convention Center, and it's doubling as the venue where Riot has been previewing cards from Radiance, the game's fifth main set (streets October 23). Radiance itself has no singles on the market yet -- it's still just sealed placeholders in the catalog. What's actually trading right now is Vendetta, the set that's been the game's top of format since July 31, and two months in, its chase tier hasn't cooled off. It's gone up.

| Nasus, Curator of the Sands | Signature | $580.81 | $594.27 | +2.3% |

Akali is still the outlier, and the gap to everyone else keeps widening. At $3,229.71, her Signature print is now pricing more than double Zed's, the set's second most expensive card -- and that spread has actually grown since launch, not shrunk. In a game this young, one card running away from the field like this usually means one of two things: either she's genuinely overperforming at the table, or a small number of collectors are still setting the price in a market with almost no sales volume to correct it. With Riftbound barely a year old, there isn't enough trade history yet to fully separate those two explanations.
The more telling number on this list is the Overnumbered print, up 33.6% in six weeks. Overnumbered cards are the non-Signature, playable version of the same card -- no collector premium, just the copy people actually put in a deck. A Signature chase print holding steady tells you speculators are still interested. An Overnumbered print climbing a third in value tells you something different: demand from players who need copies to play with, not display. That combination -- flat-to-up chase price, rising playable-copy price -- is usually a sign a card is winning actual games, and Akali showing up on Regional Qualifier stream decks this season would explain both numbers at once.
Sealed product is holding up too. A booster display at $160.53 works out to about $6.69 a pack against a $7.10 single-pack market price -- basically no discount for buying by the display, which usually means demand for opening product hasn't slowed down even with a new set's previews already underway. That's a healthy sign for a two-month-old set; plenty of TCGs see sealed prices soften hard the moment the next set gets spoiled.
Watch what happens to this list once Radiance actually streets on October 23. New main sets are usually where an older set's format relevance -- and with it, playable-tier pricing -- starts to fade. If the Overnumbered Akali holds its current level (or keeps climbing) even after Radiance releases, that's a much stronger signal she's a format staple and not just a launch-window speculative target.
Signature and Overnumbered rarities in Riftbound trade in genuinely thin volume -- this is still a one-year-old game without the multi-year sales history that Magic, Pokemon, or Lorcana have. A handful of sales can move these numbers meaningfully in either direction, so treat everything above as a snapshot, not a settled valuation, and check current listings before buying or selling into these prices.
