Read this cautiously. Riftbound doesn't have the multi-year sales history that Pokemon, Magic, or even Lorcana now have, and "Signature" cards at this rarity move in extremely thin volume -- the gap between Akali at $2,873 and Zed at $1,313 (more than double) is a bigger jump than you'd see in a more established game, which may indicate the market is still being set by a small number of collectors and speculators rather than broad demand -- though with this little sales history, that's a read on the data, not a confirmed cause. Champions with existing League of Legends star power (Akali, Zed) topping the list isn't surprising, but it's worth watching whether that gap compresses as more packs get opened, or whether IP recognition ends up being a durable price driver for this game the way it has been for other licensed TCGs.
The more useful signal for anyone actually playing: an "Overnumbered" (lower rarity) version of Akali is also trading at $443 -- meaning even the non-chase print of the set's most in-demand card carries real value. That may be a better indicator of actual competitive demand than the Signature price -- it could reflect players wanting the card to play with rather than collectors chasing the rare print, though we're inferring that from the price gap, not from direct data on who's buying.
This is a new game with a thin trading history -- prices here should be read as a snapshot of current listings, not a stable valuation. Worth rechecking monthly as more of the set gets opened.
