"Pokemon's 30th Celebration Streets in 10 Days -- the Presale Market Already Picked a Winner"
Pokemon TCG: 30th Celebration doesn't officially street until September 16, but presale singles and sealed product are already trading. That's early enough that this data should be read as a snapshot of hype and thin supply, not settled value -- but it's already telling a clear story about which cards this set was built around.

| Card / Product | Number | Rarity | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mew ex (Holofoil) | 158/128 | Futuristic Rare | $3,333.00 |
| Mewtwo ex (Holofoil) | 157/128 | Futuristic Rare | $1,000.00 |
| Espeon ex (Holofoil) | 070/128 | Double Rare | $69.99 |
| Greninja ex (Holofoil) | 021/128 | Double Rare | $49.99 |
| Pikachu (Holofoil) | 036/128 | Rare (1 of 30 variants) | $49.99 |
| Eevee (Holofoil) | 117/128 | Common | $49.99 |
| 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection (Night) | -- | Sealed | $665.41 |
| 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection (Day) | -- | Sealed | $614.91 |
| 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box | -- | Sealed | $184.60 |
| 30th Celebration Booster Bundle (6 packs) | -- | Sealed | $93.15 |
Mew ex and Mewtwo ex are numbered above the set's own card count, and that's exactly why they're pricing four figures apart from everything else. 30th Celebration's base set runs 128 cards, but Mew ex and Mewtwo ex are printed at 157/128 and 158/128 -- Pokemon's usual placement for the one or two cards a whole anniversary set is designed to sell around, one tier above even the Double Rare ex cards. That's the actual signal behind the gap between a $3,333 Mew ex and a $69.99 Espeon ex: it isn't random hype, it's the set's own numbering telling you where the real chase is.
The identical $49.99 tier across wildly different rarities is a presale artifact, not a demand read. Greninja ex (a Double Rare), a random Pikachu variant (one of 30 in the set), and a plain Common Eevee are all sitting at the exact same $49.99 market price right now. That's what happens when only a handful of sellers have listed a card presale and nobody's actually sold one yet -- the price is a guess, not a market. Once real sales start clearing after the September 16 street date, expect this tier to fan back out hard: the Common will fall toward bulk, and Greninja ex should hold real, separate value.
Mewtwo ex's own numbers don't agree with each other, which is the clearest tell of how thin this is. Its market price is showing $1,000 while its low listing is actually higher, at $1,800 -- a market price sitting below the cheapest active listing only happens when there are so few completed sales that the "market" figure is being computed off stale or sparse data. Treat that $1,000 as a floor estimate at best, not something to transact against.
Sealed product is carrying a heavy presale premium across the board. A 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box at $184.60 is roughly triple what Elite Trainer Boxes normally run at retail (usually $49.99 MSRP), and the Ultra-Premium Collections at $600+ are well above their typical $130-150 MSRP tier too. That's normal for a marquee anniversary release in the ten days before street date, when the only supply is a small number of early copies -- expect these numbers to compress, likely hard, once wider retail stock (Target, Walmart, local shops) starts hitting shelves at MSRP.
Net read: this is a set where the printed card number is doing more work than the rarity stamp. If you're buying into 30th Celebration before it streets, the Futuristic Rare pair is the real chase and priced like it already -- everything else on this list is presale noise that hasn't found its real level yet.
All prices above are presale/pre-release market snapshots taken well ahead of 30th Celebration's September 16 street date. This is thin, low-volume data by definition -- completed sales are scarce, listings are sparse, and prices (especially Mew ex, Mewtwo ex, and the sealed Ultra-Premium Collections) can and likely will move sharply once the set is actually in players' hands. Do not treat any number here as a stable valuation.
